Hi,
I'm working on a track 2.8 18v engine that would make at least 400hp.
I'm convinced these engines have a huge potential and the 18v heads can do as well as the 24v ones.
Would someone have any information about what was done in past group A biturbo engines:
- were they using stock crankshafts
- which camshafts
- what boost, turbos and wastegates
- did they have modified heads and camboxes
- what pistons
- did they have piston oil sprayers
- did they modify the cooling system
Any information would be welcome. I've got many ideas but would love to take advantage from the past
experiences.
Very few information are available. I know they were using the 2.5L engine at 8-9000 rpm.
I'll use the 2.8L engine for many reasons.
I'd like to stay under 1.3 bars of boost. The rev limit would be set at 7300 with working RPM range up to 7000 rpm.
The engine will be managed by a Halltech E8 ECU.
I'm also searching for someone who could balance a slightly modified 2.8 crankshaft.
Thanks
